Safe Church

Safe Church Ministry equips congregations in abuse awareness, prevention, and response. We help build communities where the value of each person is honored; where people are free to worship and grow free from abuse; and where abuse has occurred, the response is compassion and justice that foster healing.

Abuse Awareness Sunday 2017

The Christian Reformed Church recognizes the fourth Sunday of every September as Abuse Awareness Sunday to directly address abuse including the ways our communities may be enabling abuse. Our struggle is complex as we live in God’s world - but we ask you to unite with us on Sunday, September 24th to take on this present darkness. The specific topic of abuse we are taking on this year is “The Sex Industry and the Church.”
