SPECIAL SERIES | Remembering 9/11

September 15, 2011

As the 10th anniversary of theSept. 11, 2001 terrorist attacks approaches, CRC News has prepared a series of stories about how the Christian Reformed Church and its members have responded – and what we have learned – in the last 10 years.

We will profile people who were affected by those attacks. We will also tell stories about CRC members who have worked with Muslims, those who have fought on behalf of Muslims, those who have studied the faith and those who remain very critical of Islam and its teachings.

We will chronicle CRC ministries to Muslims that have sprung up since 9/11. We will touch on missions to Muslims, both past and present, and approaches that have been and are being taken to evangelize. While the past 10 years have seen a growth in understanding between Christians and Muslims, suspicion and hostility remain.

In the end, we will tell the story of how the Christian Reformed Church is moving forward in sharing the message of Jesus Christ with our Muslim brothers and sisters.
