CRHM and CRWM Join In Campaign

March 2, 2010

Christian Reformed Home Missions and Christian Reformed World Missions are collaborating on a special campaign for churches that runs from Easter Sunday, April 4, until Pentecost Sunday, May 23. The two agencies have come together to shine a spotlight on how God is changing lives with the power of the Gospel in your community and around the world.

The special campaign -- which will include resources for churches such as a devotional and prayer guide; videos; posters; and bulletin covers and inserts -- focuses on a shared theme: Reaching Your Community and the World with the Power of the Gospel. The theme is based on Romans 1:16: “I am not ashamed of the Gospel, because it is the power of God for the salvation of everyone who believes . . .”

Home and World Missions church planters and missionaries have come together to provide a devotional for all of the Sundays from Easter through Pentecost. Also included are daily prayer requests from various ministries in North America and around the world. The devotional and prayer guide are available as a downloadable PDF, or by subscribing to receive a daily e-mail.

The eight-week series of meditations and prayer requests is based on the following eight themes: Sharing the Good News; Gathering Believers; Planting Churches; Discipling New Believers; Uniting in Prayer; Raising Up Leaders; Impacting Society; and Changing His World: Spirit-Empowered Mission.

The campaign also includes bulletin announcements to be used in church bulletins and newsletters, special bulletin covers and inserts, a children’s bulletin cover, a feature article in the April Banner, videos that share ministry stories, and two posters. In all of these resources, the text focuses on how God has used both agencies, and your support of them, to bring the message of salvation to people in North American and around the world.
