Church Order Translated in Korean
The Christian Reformed Church Order, the rules and guidelines by which the church governs itself, has been translated into Korean by Jay Shim, an associate professor of theology at Dordt College in Sioux Center, Iowa.
"This is a good news for Korean churches," says Rev. Ronald Chu, a CRC minister and Korean-American pastor and teacher for many years. He made his comment on The Network, the CRC's online tool to link people to help enhance ministry.
"We celebrate the completion and posting of the Korean translation of the Church Order and Its Supplements 2010."
Shim has brought the 2005 translated version of the Church Order up to date. The new translated version is available online only on the Synodical Resources page of the CRC Website at Synod documents.

The CRC intends to update the translation every year to avoid gaps that have arisen between translations.
The number of Korean churches in the denomination has grown to 90—nearly 10 percent of the CRC's 1,040 total congregations—with some 8,000 members.
