New Resonate Logo Depicts CRC United in Mission

July 26, 2017

The new logo unveiled by Resonate Global Mission in this short new video illustrates the agency’s mission with two images in one.

The logo is comprised of brushstrokes that form a sound wave going out with the message of the gospel, and when considered as a group, the seven brushstrokes indicate many parts uniting together. The two images in the logo call to mind Paul’s words about the body of Christ in 1 Corinthians 12.

For instance, in verse 27 of this passage, Paul writes: “Now you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it.”

The bright gold and orange tones of the logo convey hope and courage, and complement the hand-brushed strokes that suggest authenticity and openness. The three darker brushstrokes in the center subtly form the shape of the cross, which represents Jesus Christ as the center of the organization.
Including the cross gives the opportunity to tell the story of salvation, yet in a way that permits its use in closed countries and places hostile to Christianity.

Ultimately, the image should call to mind the idea of unity in sharing the gospel—the reverberating effect that takes place when congregations and communities work together.

Resonate will implement this logo across the website, stationery, and other communications in the next few months.
