Ann Voskamp

Ann Voskamp refers to herself as the wife of a farmer. But she is more than that. She is a best-selling author, well-known blogger and a busy mother of seven children.

She is someone whose voice and words and compelling photographs reach out and touch people who are dealing with issues big and small and personal and public, at home and in the wider world.

Author of One Thousand Gifts: A Dare to Live Fully Where You Are, which was on the New York Times bestseller list for 60 weeks, Voskamp will be a keynote speaker for the Christian Reformed Church’s Inspire 2017, a gathering taking place Aug. 3-5, 2017 in Detroit, Mich.

Named by Christianity Today as one of fifty women most shaping culture and the church today, Voskamp “knows unspoken brokenness and big country skies and an intimacy with God that touches wounded places. Millions do life with her at her daily photographic online journal, one of the Top 10 most widely read Christian websites: annvoskamp.com,” according Zondervan, her publishing company.

Voskamp, who lives on a farm in rural Ontario, Canada, is scheduled to do the Friday morning, Aug. 3 presentation at Inspire. Inspire is being called a “Gathering” because it will gather CRC members from  Canada and the U.S. to meet at the river in Detroit to pray, learn, experience, engage inspire, and grow. The theme of Voskamp’s time of worship and sharing will be “The Costs of the Call.”

Her new book, titled The Broken Way,“presents the gospel in a fresh way for desperate Christians in need of a renewed revelation of the grace of God. No matter how broken or sin-sick you are,” says Zondervan. The new book will be available at Inspire 2017.
