CRWM Offers New Study Guide

January 11, 2010

is offering a new DVD-based study guide for 2010 that addresses key terms and trends in missions and puts focus on Guatemala, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone.

" wants to help you learn more about missions in general and about the global outreach ministries of the Christian Reformed Church of North America in particular. We've produced a DVD-based Study Guide to help clarify some terms and to give you a chance to learn more about the ministries in which the church is engaged," says the CRWM Website.

The DVD contains three videos, each three-to-four minutes in length, a downloadable and printable leader's guide, and three discussion guides with discussion summaries, two pages each, that look at missionary work in Guatemala, Nigeria, and Sierra Leone – all three countries in which CRWM has been working. Key concepts in the program are transformation, collaboration, and Third-Culture engagement.

The Study Guides can be used in a variety of ways:

  • Lead adult and high school Sunday School classes.
  • Lead informal Evening Service discussions.
  • Show one of the videos during the offering.
  • Print the Definition of the Key Concept in your church bulletin.

The lessons are 30-45 minutes in length. To borrow a DVD or to purchase one for $10, contact:
