Every three years, representatives gather from CRCs across Canada to celebrate vibrant, flourishing ministries, thoughtfully discern challenges and opportunities, and boldly envision next steps for impactful ministry locally, regionally, and nationally.

Together, these Canadian National Gathering attendees answer questions like these:

  • What will the future of the CRC in Canada be?
  • What does our community look like today, and what do we hope it looks like one, five, 10, and 50 years from now?
  • How is God calling us to live and grow as a church in ways that will have a positive impact in our country?

The CRCNA Canada Ministry Board has decided to hold the next Canadian National Gathering on May 28-31, 2026, at Redeemer University in Ancaster, Ont.

“While the gathering is just for a few days in 2026, plans are under way for engaging in robust conversations both throughout the year leading up to it and for the time coming out of it,” said Al Postma, executive director-Canada of the CRCNA.

To ensure that this gathering truly reflects the needs and aspirations of Canadian CRC congregations, a steering committee is being formed. It will include a representative from each Canadian classis, who will be asked to lend their wisdom and insight to the formation of this event.

“These individuals will play a vital role in shaping the agenda and ensuring that the conversations held will resonate deeply with the experiences and hopes of CRC members across Canada,” said Postma.

Making this national gathering a reality requires the collective support of our denomination. It is funded through denominational ministry shares, classis contributions, and donations from individuals and organizations, making it accessible to leaders and members from all corners of Canada.

“This is our opportunity to come together, listen to one another, and prayerfully discern how God is calling us to live and grow as a vibrant church that continues to make a positive difference in Canada,” said Postma.
