The Christian Reformed Church of North America is going through a time of transition. Synod 2022 approved a new structure for the Christian Reformed Church in North America that will guide and steer the denomination into the future. This structure includes a binational position of Chief Administrative Officer who will play a key role.

The CRCNA is a binational church with over 1,050 congregations and 150,000 members spread across Canada and the United States. Together, we are striving to serve Jesus Christ by transforming lives and communities as we engage in missions, disaster response, abuse prevention, faith formation, and much more.

The CAO is a crucial position. The successful candidate must be passionate about good administration, and also care deeply about the flourishing of the CRCNA's mission and ministry plan.

The CAO will partner with CRC congregations in the U.S. and Canada to assist them in ministry. They will coordinate the work of various CRCNA ministries, develop and promote a ministry-focused culture, and ensure appropriate governance between synod, the Council of Delegates, and Canadian and U.S. boards. The CAO will also play an important role in growing CRCNA engagement with ethnic minority churches and leaders, and have an international impact.

Is God calling you to serve the church in this crucial position at this crossroads? Might you know someone that would be a good fit?

Please review the position description and other information on this website and connect with the CAO Search team to let us know. Applications should be submitted as soon as possible, but not later than August 18. The Search Committee may not be able to fully consider submissions after this date.
