President
Dale is a development director of a Christian School. He has a business administration degree from Calvin University. He has 30 years experience in banking. He resides in Grand Rapids Michigan and attends Westview CRC.
Michael Westra '27
Vice President
Michael graduated from Calvin University in 1987 with a degree in accounting. He manages a tile import/retail sales company and has extensive bank directorship experience. He resides in North Haledon, New Jersey and attends Restore CRC.
Jeffrey S DeYoung '27
Treasurer
Jeff De Young is a Graduate of Indiana University and has been working in the banking industry for the last 37 years in operations and consumer banking administration. He resides in St. John, Indiana and is a member of Bethel Christian Reformed Church in Lansing , Illinois
Rev. Carl Kromminga '28
Secretary
Carl Kromminga served as a pastor in the CRC for 40 years before retiring in 2019. He is a member of New City CRC in Long Beach which he planted 30 years ago.
Wayne Postma '26
Director
Wayne Postma graduated from Calvin University in 1990 and has been in the commercial banking industry for 34 years. He resides in Lombard, Illinois and is a member of Lombard Christian Reformed Church.
Ray Slager '28
Director
Ray is a Lakeside Community CRC member, holds a business degree from Calvin College and a master’s in accounting from Western Michigan University. A retired CPA and former Calvin University professor, he has served as elder and deacon and volunteers extensively in his community.
Layla Kuhl
Executive Director
Layla began working for the Loan Fund in April of 2024. She is a licensed attorney and has been involved with the Loan Fund since 2018 when she sought a loan for Madison Church. Synod appointed her to the Loan Fund Board in 2021. In addition to operating the Loan Fund she is a social entrepreneur and a local school board member.
Alice Damsteegt
Program Coordinator
Alice serves as Program Coordinator with the Loan Fund. She has been supporting the denomination for 36 years. She started as an administrative assistant for World Missions for 5 years and then went part-time as a floating administrative assistant for 10 years and has spent the last 21 years with the Loan Fund. She has her degree in business from Calvin College. She lives in Cutlerville Michigan and attends Covenant CRC. Alice was born and raised in West-Michigan and the CRC.
Dan DeKam
CRCNA Director of U.S. Ministry Operations, Liaison
Since July of 2023, Dan has served as the US Director of Ministry operations. Dan is a 1989 graduate of Calvin University and prior to working for the Christian Reformed Church spent over 30 years in Christian School Leadership. Dan resides in Bridgeton, MI and attends Angel Community CRC in Muskegon.
