This schedule for Synod 2022 (PDF) provides details about when they met in advisory committees, plenary sessions, and more. At the start of synod, delegates spent most of their time in advisory committees to discuss their assigned part of the agenda and prepared their reports.
How was the synod schedule different for 2022?
Because synod had not met since 2019 due to COVID-19 the agenda was very full. This prompted a decision by the Council of Delegates (functioning in the interim of synod) to add virtual aspects to Synod 2022. Delegates and advisers met via Zoom for the convening session on May 25, and the advisory committees met on June 1 and 2 for introductions, prayer, and planning their in-person meetings.
