For Synod 2026, being held on Calvin University's campus from June 11-18, we will be connecting the prayer theme with the 150th Anniversary of Calvin University and Calvin Theological Seminary. The Calvin Institute of Christian Worship is also offering a conference entitled Psalms 150 which is a time to dwell in the Psalms. Using the Psalms as the basis for the theme will provide continuity to those themes as well.

The underlying bedrock of the Psalms is God’s faithfulness. Only in God can there be a renewed CRC. Only through God’s Spirit and God’s Word can we become a denomination of renewed and multiplying congregations. We will settle in God’s faithfulness to his people in the different seasons of life. Each congregation and people are in different places and seasons of life, and in the Psalms, we find ourselves there. And we find that God is there.

Whether it is in
    thanksgiving,
    the hard times,
    praise,
    trusting in uncertainty,
    holding on to God’s sovereignty,
    depending on God to build his kingdom, and
    sending us forth with hope for the future,
all of these point to the faithfulness of God in every season of life.
