Award for Scholarship on Christianity in Business - On Wednesday, September 23, 3:30-5:00 p.m., the Calvin University School of Business will host the annual Award for Scholarship on Christianity in Business. Dr. Stephen Hawkins will present and receive the award for his academic paper, “Ministry or mutiny? The organizational antecedents of pastor-parishioner conflict”. Dr. Hawkins will discuss consequences churches face when they fail to clearly define authority, creating tension, power struggles, and leadership problems. Mentors commit to meeting with a student about twice a month, with the student taking the lead in scheduling and guiding the conversations.
