Ministry Description
Paragraph
Canada is becoming increasingly diverse. According to Statistics Canada, by 2021, one in four people (26.5%) were part of the racialized population. This growing diversity is also reflected within the Christian Reformed Church in Canada, inviting us to imagine and embody a broader, richer expression of the Body of Christ. Our vision for intercultural ministry is to see the CRC in Canada become a holistic and continually reforming community in which people of every ethnocultural and racial background are fully welcomed, valued, and empowered.
Rooted in Scripture and shaped by the lived experiences of people of colour, we work to re-imagine what faithful belonging looks like while advising, equipping, and supporting congregations toward meaningful collective action. Together, we seek to live into the intercultural kin-dom of God. A community where diversity is embraced as a gift, our differences are valued, and Christ’s love is made visible in our life together.

Canada’s growing diversity is shaping the CRC, inviting us to live more fully into God’s intercultural kin-dom. Our ministry equips and supports churches to welcome and empower people from every ethnocultural and racial background. Rooted in Scripture and informed by the experiences of people of colour, we help congregations take meaningful steps toward diversity, belonging, and shared flourishing.
