Also available is information on a range books by such writers as theologian Chuck DeGroat's. His book, Leaving Egypt, “shows how our wilderness journey helps us face our fears, receive our new identity, experience transformation, and live into our newfound freedom,” says the catalog.
Psalms for Worship, compiled by Joyce Borger, Martin Tel, and John Witvliet, is “the largest collection of psalms for worship ever published. Includes all 150 psalms, most in multiple formats,” says the catalog.
Written by Cathie Brasser and Micki Hilbrand, Acts: Are We There Yet? Part Two is Bible study that follows “Paul and his missionary companions as they preach the good news of salvation throughout the Gentile world of the Roman Empire. Witness painful rejection as well as acceptance and transformation as the Holy Spirit works through these courageous witnesses, who gave everything they had to share the story of God's love and the offer of new life through Jesus Christ.”
Available from author Philip F. Reinders is Seeking God’s Face Compact Edition. This book provides prayers “offered to God at regular times of the day. This practice, now experiencing a wide resurgence, can help your prayer life become a vital, lifelong conversation with God.”
Inside, readers will find an entire year of daily prayers and readings, each featuring seven elements, including:
- an opening prayer
- a psalm and Scripture reading
- suggestions for personal prayer
- a prayer based on a classic creed or confession.
- a closing blessing
"Seeking God's Face" melds prayer and Scripture into a companionable guide for becoming a participant—both listening and speaking—in the great salvation conversation that is the Christian gospel,” writes author Eugene H. Peterson.
Then there is Song of a Scientist by environmental scientist Cal DeWitt. “With the rare combination of scientific rigor, poetic imagination, and a deep Christian faith, DeWitt probes the twin books of God's Word and God's world, nudging us toward grateful stewardship and praise, joining the doxology of all creation,” says the catalog.
