A group of people from across the Maritime provinces in Canada (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, and Prince Edward Island) gathered at John Calvin CRC in Truro, N.S., Apr. 26-27 for a Spark! conference. This year's theme was “Work in Progress – Joining God Where He's At.”

Organized by local church leaders, Spark! included a keynote address by Adrian Jacobs, senior leader for Indigenous justice and reconciliation in the CRCNA. He discussed “Joining Jesus at the Feast” and what some next steps in the journey of reconciliation might look like in the Maritimes.

On Saturday participants chose from various workshops led by staff from Diaconal Ministries Canada, Resonate Global Mission, and the CRC’s Canadian justice ministries. These workshops looked at justice as an everyday spiritual journey, dove into biblical stewardship, explored how to connect with your community missionally, and provided further thinking about reconciliation.
