Synod Hears About Ministry in Canada

Rev. Darren Roorda, the Canadian ministries director for the Christian Reformed Church, shared with delegates his excitement about a change of focus regarding the CRC’s various ministries in Canada.

Instead of focusing primarily on a few specifically Canadian ministries, the CRC is seeing ministry in Canada in the context of a binational church, he said.

“If you can’t tell, my chest is sticking out just a little bit further now. That’s a good thing.”

Roorda said he wants to showcase the uniqueness of ministry in Canada as an integral part of the CRC denomination.
