Calvin Student Speaks Her Christmas Poem

In a Christmas video, Calvin College student Dantia Dandjinou shares a spoken word poem to express the timeless wonder of the Christmas season.

Interspersed of Dandjinou walking across the campus at night, there are images of Calvin students, teachers and various scenes taking place at the college in Grand Rapids, Mich.

As she walks, Dandjinou recites her poem. Here is one part: “The light shines in the darkness and darkness can never extinguish it.

“You never were not. You brought eternity to humanity and turned calamity to calm.”

The video, says the Calvin website, is way in which together “we celebrate the birth, and ongoing work, of Jesus Christ.”
