More than two years ago, I spent the semester learning about worldwide issues such as poverty, AIDS, and the environment. Since then my concern for these problems has grown. Also in the last year I have become an avid cyclist, and strongly wanted to do a long bike tour. I see this tour as an amazing opportunity to combine both of these passions.
