Support the Refugee Reform Act (US)
The Domestic Refugee Reform and Modernization Act (H.R. 1475) would put the United States in a better position to adequately welcome refugees and help them on their path to integration and success in their new home. Contact your Representative today and urge them to co-sponsor this critical legislation!
Commitment to My Immigrant Neighbor
Please join us in an opportunity to fulfill GodÂ’s command to love our neighbor and welcome the stranger among us. We ask that you sign this personal pledge and commit to living out your faith by aiding immigrants marginalized by our broken system.
Help Women Through Foreign Aid Reform (US)
All around the world, women and girls remain more vulnerable and powerless than their male counterparts, with less control over their bodies, daily lives, and futures. Women are more likely to be malnourished and living in extreme poverty, often without access to paid employment or to land and property rights. Women are also victims of gender based violence such as domestic abuse, human trafficking, sexual violence in armed conflict, and female genital mutilation. Tell Congress to reform foreign aid so it better helps poor and marginalized women!
Protect U.S. Humanitarian Foreign Assistance
Contact your Senators and Representative, and urge them to support an FY 2012 budget that preserves robust help for our most impoverished and vulnerable neighbors in the U.S. and around the world.
Canadian Foodgrains Bank Action (CAN)
Send a postcard urging the Canadian government to commit to its fair share of funding for climate change in developing countries - especially funding that empowers the most vulnerable people, such as small-scale farmers, to adapt to changes.
Bread for the World's Offering of Letters
Each year, Bread for the World members write to their members of Congress, advocating for policies that help end hunger in the U.S. and around the world. The 2011 Offering of Letters campaign will continue to push Congress and the administration toward U.S. foreign assistance that is more effective in reducing global poverty.
