What Is Required Of Me If I Join The Ministry Partner Program?
Your ministry role as a CRWRC ministry staff partner:
- Pray - Lift your staff member up in prayer before they leave for the field, while they are on the field and when they are in North America for deputation. Give praise for all the joys and successes of their work, and petition God for their concerns.
- Write and send letters - Letters, postcards, birthday & Christmas cards are a source of strength and encouragement to your CRWRC staff member.
- Host - Host your CRWRC staff member when he/she’s back in North America. Have a special coffee social or dinner for them with a small group of friends at your home; arrange for them to speak at your local school or to a small group meeting at church.
- Read - Spend time reading the newsletters that your CRWRC staff member sends you. He or she will share stories, joys, hardships and prayer needs. Read these pieces of communication and then pass them on to others who might enjoy them.
- Be a resource - Provide a place for your CRWRC staff member to store belongings while they are overseas, a place to live or a car to use while in North America, a babysitter while they are in your hometown, or some other type of assistance that you think they might need.
- Learn - Take some time to learn about the country where your CRWRC staff member lives and works, and the kind of work he/she is doing.
- Give - Support the ministry of your CRWRC staff member with a financial gift that goes directly to his or her salary and benefits. By giving directly to MPP, you help CRWRC prevent cutbacks to much-needed staff and programs.
What Will I Receive in Return?
In exchange for your prayers, letters, time, and financial support:
- CRWRC ministry staff will write a minimum of four newsletters per year, in which they update you on the work they are doing thanks to your support.
- Every 2-3 years, your CRWRC staff member will do "deputation" in Noth America. This is a time when they will make personal visits in the United States and Canada to share the real stories, joys, hopes, and needs from the field. If you are interested in a visit, the Ministry Partner Program will arrange it for you.
- If you'd like to visit the ministry field, your CRWRC staff member would be happy to be your host and help you get acquainted with hands-on with CRWRC's work.
Which Missionary Should I Support?
Many people join the Ministry Partner Program because they have a friend or family member who works for CRWRC. If this is not the case for you or if you are looking to support an additional staff member, CRWRC has over 100 staff members that you can choose from. The Ministry Partner Program staff would be happy to suggest a couple of them for your consideration. These suggestions will be based on staff who still need additional support, or who have other supporters in your geographic region.
