 Compelled by His Spirit is the theme for the Pentecost Missions Celebration this year. Bringing the Good News to non-Christians was not optional for the Apostle Paul. Once the Spirit entered his heart on the Damascus Road, spreading the Gospel became his life. He was compelled by the Spirit and therefore ready to pay any price to fulfill his calling. That same sense of urgency, which drives missionaries, must be within each of us as we take up the task of world missions. Your missionaries through Christian Reformed World Missions partner with CRC congregations and network with leaders around the world to bring the changing power of the Gospel to a global community of people. Whether in Africa, Asia, Europe, Latin America or here in North America, we are compelled by the Spirit to grow the Kingdom. We work with our partners. We learn from our partners. And we mentor our partners. From informal training events to Ph.D. level instruction, CRWM missionaries are helping to deepen the knowledge and sharpen the skills of pastors, professors, and teachers around the world. We do this work together—God’s global church, her missionaries, and her agencies—all compelled to do His work, by His Spirit.
