Mascots on a Mission

Puppets and the Mission of God

Kids of all ages love puppets.  Even non-professional puppeteers can attract an audience and use the experience as a learning opportunity for kids and adults alike.

The Mascots on a Mission Program sends puppets all over the world to find out what God is doing to build his church and extend his kingdom.  The puppets send emails, pictures, and videos back to the church or school to report on what missionaries and national pastors and church leaders and Christians all over the world are doing to spread the gospel and to help improve people's lives.  In this way kids can learn about the amazing diversity of God's world and come to love people of different cultures and backgrounds.  They can develop a passion for God's mission to his world and become involved in that mission in personal ways.

Getting Started

Follow World Missions' mascot, Pablo, as he travels all around the world on a mission to tell others about the wonderful things God is doing in the world.  To get started click on one of the countries you want to visit on the right.

Curriculum for Vacation Bible School, Sunday School and Christian Schools (coming soon)

The Mascots on a Mission curriculum is available for use in Vacation Bible Schools, Sunday Schools, and Christian Schools.  There are five lessons, each between five and seven minutes long.  The curriculum is designed to be used alongside your existing program.

The lessons come on a DVD that includes a leader's guide, pictures, videos, and other activities.  Also, included in the kit are two posters and ...???

Future plans include the production of a number of different Mascots on a Mission adventures - each featuring visits by Pablo to different countries.  The first adventure in the series is Pablo Goes to Nicaragua.  This is available through Faith Alive Christian Resources.

Additional Mascots

In addition to World Missions' mascot, the other mission agencies of the Christian Reformed Church and the Reformed Church of America have their own mascots.  Check those out by clicking on the links below.
