As a post-Soviet state, Ukraine struggles with corruption, poverty, and the breakdown of society in every area. Christian Reformed World Missions (CRWM) is in Ukraine to faithfully witness to the transformational power of the Gospel through leadership development in order to bring healing and transformation to lives and communities throughout Ukraine and Eastern Europe's other post-Soviet countries.
With its partners in Ukraine, Christian Reformed World Missions is training church leaders in Ukraine’s post-Soviet, post-Christian, and post-atheist society so that healthy churches develop with a biblical understanding of Christianity so that the Kingdom of God may transform all of life.
- Rev. Gerard D. (George) and Sarah de Vuyst (Abigail, Matthew, Elizabeth): George is a church planter and leadership trainer working with the Christian Reformed Church of Mukachevo and introducing Timothy Leadership Training in Eastern Europe.
- Jodi Vander Heide: Jodi is volunteering for nine months to train youth leaders in Mukachevo and help develop healthy and sustainable youth work.
