Coffee Break

Coffee Break is an outreach-oriented, small-group Bible study for women. Using an informal, low-key approach, Coffee Break encourages women to discover for themselves what the Bible says and means for their lives.

This training informs and equips women to lead a Coffee Break group using three modules: 1) Small Group Principles, 2) The Inductive Study Method, 3) Evangelistic Purpose

These modules can be used together or individually for training purposes. Ministry Developers are available for consultation or training in the US and Canada by calling 1-888-644-0814. Training options are flexible depending on the need of the group.

Cost: $40* per person for a five to six hour presentation of all three modules. This includes training materials, Coffee Break Evangelism Manual, sample materials and other resources. *$5 CRC membership discount available.

Training Options: The training modules can be chosen separately or in any combination at a cost of $15 per module per person. This cost includes the needed training materials and excludes any supplementary resources.

The following training modules reflect the overall purpose and vision for the Coffee Break ministry:

1. Small Group Principles - understanding Coffee Break as a small group ministry, leaders learn the principles of healthy small groups and spiritual growth. The practical and interactive style of this training helps leaders discover important aspects of group growth, leadership styles, and best ways to build community. Participants enjoy brainstorming and sharing ideas.

2. Inductive Method - this module teaches how to ask questions that point participants to the Bible for the answers. Using video, written exercise, and interactive dialogue,  leaders discuss potential problems, solutions, and the importance of asking good questions.

3. Evangelistic Purpose - using Colossians 4:2-6 as a guideline, leaders are inspired to build an outreaching Coffee Break program. With prayer as the foundation, leaders learn how to organize according to their evangelistic purpose. Participants write their own faith story and learn several gospel presentations. This section includes small group interaction and provides practical tips and encouragement.
