Jerry Holleman has a missional heart. As leader of the Home Missions West Central U.S. team for the past 16 years, he is fueled by the passion and excitement he feels when he sees lives changed and transformed. “I am motivated by seeing lives impacted and new commitments made for Christ,” he says.

Jerry and his wife Norma, along with their three grown children, live in Houston, Texas. Jerry served on the staff of a large church in Jenison, Michigan before moving to Houston to help start New Life Church in Spring, Texas, which Jerry and Norma still attend. While serving as pastor of New Life, Jerry felt God calling him to be a Home Missions regional leader in 1993. “I’m still inspired today by seeing how God is at work in this growing region,” he says.

The West Central U.S. team serves Christian Reformed churches and ministries in a large area that stretches from the Mississippi River to the Rocky Mountains. As a Home Missions regional leader, Jerry and his team work closely with local churches and leaders to create partnerships designed to multiply new ministries and develop missional leaders. “We want to find ways, with partners, to make God-given dreams become realities,” he says. “We also give encouragement and support to our local partners and want to help them ask the hard questions about doing ministry.”
