From Disability Concerns
More than “Welcome!” - Are you “included” in the life of church? Does everyone in your congregation “belong”? On Thurs. Nov 30 @ 7P.M., come to Calvary CRC, 265 Middletown Rd, Flamborough for dessert over a presentation and discussion on what it means to be a congregation that not only welcomes people but misses them when they are not there. Using her own story of raising children with disabilities, Sara Pot (sara-pot.squarespace.com/thepotfamily/) will facilitate our evening, giving us time to both listen and interact as we explore ways our faith communities can share the Kingdom expression of belonging. Along with enjoying some fellowship and treats, the night promises meaningful idea-sharing on how we can truly be a community where every person belongs.
