A Unique Prayer from Guam

January 22, 2020

In  Ephesians 6:18, Paul instructs believers to “pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests.”

“We pray each week with this verse in mind,” says Emily Vanden Heuvel, prayer team coordinator for ReFrame Media, the English language ministry of Back to God Ministries International.

“The majority of our prayer requests come by email, but a few notes come through the post office each week.”

Recently, Emily received a small envelope that contained a folded square of paper towel and was postmarked from Guam. The individual wrote carefully in pen so that he or she wouldn’t rip the fragile paper and signed off with the Greek letters “Alpha and Omega,” and drew the letters on the back of the envelope.

The letter was, in fact, a prayer to God.

“Dear God, I believe you love me and that Jesus Christ came as your gift, dying on the cross and rising again for me.

“I confess my faults and failures. I ask you to forgive my sins. I now ask Jesus to come into my life as my Lord and Savior. I accept his promise of eternal life; help me live for Christ alone from this day.”

“We are so happy for ‘AO’’s commitment to Jesus and grateful that they found a way to share with us,” says Vanden Heuvel.

You can sign up to pray for AO and many others every week by visiting ReFrame’s prayer page. You can add your own requests at that page as well or by emailing Emily directly at [email protected].
