We do all we can to nurture our children’s faith, but we sure could use some helpful resources as we respond to their desire to participate in the sacrament!
- To better understand Synod’s decision to include children in the sacrament of the Lord’s Supper, read Children at the Lord's Table: Toward a Guiding Principle for Biblically Faithful Celebrations of the Lord's Supper or its helpful summary.
- Organize a small group to study and discuss the meaning of the sacrament, using the study guide A Practice of Christian Unity.
- Give yourself the gift of Home Grown: Handbook for Christian Parents (available from Faith Alive Resources). It’s a resource that will encourage and help you nurture your children’s faith and prepare them to participate in the sacrament of communion. Note: Get a group of fellow parents together and use the Home Grown study guide to support each other as you discuss your challenges as Christian parents.
