Wired magazine is reporting that information overload is being predicted by some analysts as the problem of the year for 2008.
"It's too much information. It's too many interruptions. It's too much lost time,' Basex chief analyst Jonathan Spira declared. And more information available, he said, also means more time wasted looking for the right information, whether in an old e-mail or through a search engine."
So, what are you going to do about this so-called problem of the year?
Might you replace that 16-line signature block at the bottom of your emails with something short and sweet? Or perhaps take a little more time and write a shorter and more succinct brochure? Maybe run through your web site and see what can be done to get your visitors to the information they need with less hassle? Get a pro to design your 97-slide PowerPoint? Clean up your mailing list?
In all of these things and more, Product Services can help. Give us a call at 616-224-0780 or write to us at proservices@crcna.org, describe what your desired audience and outcome is, and we'll come back with an idea or two you might not have thought about.
A reminder: just because we're not actually printing onsite anymore, we're still the place to go to get it done. Intelligent volume purchasing benefits all!
With the plant closing this year, it didn't feel right to have a Thanksmas celebration. That means we have a bunch of vendor samples and whatnot to give away. Want to win? Give us an idea—any idea!—for cutting down on information overload here. Every responder gets a 2008 Product Services calendar. |
