Staff Ministry Committee
WelcomeThe Staff Ministry Committee (SMC) is a group of seven volunteers serving under the purview of the Office of Pastor-Church Relations. See below for committee members’ names and functions). We have several things in common: we are all members of Christian Reformed churches; we are paid staff members in our churches or are in denominational positions; and we have a passion for healthy congregations in the CRC and the well-being of the ministry staff who contribute in so many ways to their congregations. GoalsThe primary tasks of the SMC are to equip and encourage ministry staff, and to equip and train churches in working with ministry staff and ministry teams. We are also working on some matters regarding denominational structure, and how that relates to our ministry. InitiativesThe SMC recently completed its work as a Deployment Team for the denominational Ministries Plan Scorecard by developing a credentialing process for church staff ministry leaders who are not ordained. For a copy of that report, contact Jeanne Kallemeyn, Staff Ministry Specialist, Pastor-Church Relations, at kallemej@crcna.org or 616-726-1152. See Highlights of SMC Meeting for latest news. ![]() Norm, Laura, Ruth Ann, Joan (recently resigned), Committee Members Anita Beem - Education and Evangelism Coordinator, North Hills CRC, Troy, MI Contact the Committee |
