Welcome to the Home Page of the Candidacy Committee of the Christian Reformed Church.  Our task is to encourage and enable you in the process of becoming an ordained minister in the Christian Reformed denomination.

If you have been sensing God’s call to ordained ministry, or if you are seeking to help someone pursue that call, please take some time to explore this site.  Like many things in life, it is a work “under construction”, and you will find periodic updates and clarifications.  If you have questions, please send us an e-mail or make a phone call.  

On a personal note, I would like to introduce my self.  I have been a pastor in the Christian Reformed Church since 1981.  I have served congregations in eastern Michigan and in Anaheim, California.  I have volunteered regionally as a mentor and an advocate for various pastors entering this denomination.  I have had opportunity to work with Korean leaders, Latino leaders, and leaders of various other ethnic groups, and I love the growing diversity in the Christian Reformed Church.

In January, 2008, I began work in the new position of Director of Candidacy.  My task is to be a link between inquiring persons and the processes described on this site.  I’ll be eager to do whatever I can to answer your questions and make the journey of ministry preparation a meaningful one.
