One of the sesquicentennial committee’s earliest activities was to sponsor and conduct a logo contest for the commemoration of the 150th anniversary year. Separate contests were conducted for youth and adult submissions. The logo chosen to receive first place in the youth division was submitted by Megan DeBoer from Oshawa, Ontario. It is reproduced below:

The adult first-place winner was Linda Lanning from Grand Rapids, Michigan. That submission is also reproduced below:
