Opportunity Title: Missions Internship
Location: Mukachevo, Ukraine
CRCNA Ministry Involved: CRWM
Number of Positions: up to three
Expected Length of Service: 3 months to 1 year
Dates Opportunity is Available: Anytime
Purpose: To experience mission work and missionary life for an extended period of time and to seek God’s direction on the possibility of long-term mission service.
Specific Responsibilities: The missionary intern would work alongside CRWM missionaries, George & Sarah de Vuyst, in their ministry as church planters and leadership developers. The intern would have the opportunity to experience mission work and missionary life for an extended period of time, study missions and anthropology, serve in a mission setting utilizing personal gifts and talents, and seek God’s direction as to long-term mission service.
Qualifications:
- Mature Christian, aged 18 or older familiar with the Bible and Reformed teachings
- Interest in long-term missions service
- Could be in conjunction with university or seminary studies
- Prefer one or more of the following: experience working in children and youth ministries, experience leading contemporary worship, instrumental ability (guitar or piano).
- Flexible, adaptable and able to view life with a sense of humor.
- Bonus skills: experience working in children and youth ministries, experience leading contemporary worship, plays guitar or piano

Support Services Provided: ServiceLink and CRWM agree to provide:
- Orientation materials as well as ongoing logistical support.
- The support of our CRWM missionaries and their local partners on-field.
- Debriefing assistance both on the field and after returning to North America
Requirments of the Volunteer:
- Complete and submit a volunteer application form and resume/CV.
- Undergo a background check.
- Complete recommended reading prior to departure.
- Raise prayer and financial support by inviting individuals, businesses and/or churches to support your ministry.
- Attend an orientation session in Grand Rapids, MI or Burlington, ON (when possible).
- Share with your supporters about your experience after returning to North America.
- Adhere to CRCNA Standards of Conduct.
Financial Obligations of the Volunteer: please note that costs are estimated and listed in US funds
Approximately $800 USD/month plus the cost of round-trip airfare.
Additional Costs – depending on each individual
- Passport (must be valide for at least 6 months beyond date of return)
- Vaccinations and required prescription medication
- Medical and Travel insurance
