LIMITED REGISTRATION OPPORTUNITY.

If you are interested in riding the full distance from Seattle to Jersey City, apply now! Two spaces have become available and will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Your registration form must be received in hand (not postmarked) no later than Wednesday, March 5 (fax or e-mail would be your best option). If these spaces remain available after March 5, they will be filled by single-stage riders.

If you are still interested in riding one stage, please call the Sea to Sea office to check availability on any of the three stages and/or to apply for the waiting list.  1-888-272-2453.

The following registration information and forms are available here and must be submitted for cyclists interested in being added to the waiting list.  Funds submitted with your application will only be processed if you are added to the list of registered cyclists. Thank you for your interest.

Registration Info

The three stages are:

WEST—Seattle to Denver, 4 weeks, June 28-July 26
CENTRAL—Denver to Grand Rapids, 3 weeks, July 27-August 16
EAST—Grand Rapids to Jersey City, 2 weeks, August 17-31

SEA TO SEA—Seattle to Jersey City, 9 weeks, June 28-August 31

Requirements to participate as a cyclist on this tour:

  • Must agree with and support the purpose of the tour:
    • To work toward ending the cycle of poverty by raising awareness and funds to support poverty-alleviation programs initiated by the CRC and its partners, and motivating people to use their time and skills to help those living in poverty.
  • Must be at least 18 years old by the start of the tour (June 28, 2008).
  • Must have a valid passport prior to the start of the tour (if you don’t have one, apply now).
  • Must not have a police and/or criminal record.
  • Must be physically, mentally and spiritually fit.
  • Must have adequate medical insurance for travel in both Canada and the United States.
  • Must provide your own bicycle, tent and related equipment.
  • Must provide own funds to cover travel costs to Seattle and home from Jersey City.

With the help of his or her church and supporting community, each registered cyclist will be expected to raise at least $10,000 for the entire 9-week tour or $4,000 for any one section of the tour.

Along with the completed forms, cyclists need to submit a $250 non-refundable deposit as part of the registration process. This $250 is considered a donation; it will be counted toward the cyclist’s total fund-raising goal and is eligible for a tax receipt(s).
