God's call is clear: do justice, love kindness, and walk humbly (Micah 6:8). The Sea to Sea Bike Tour will be humbling. For an old guy like me, doing something this "crazy" (as my family describes it) will be a challenge, but it will surely raise my awareness of God's good earth. One of my daughters put it this way: "It sounds like a lot of pedaling for a good cause. Nothing says 'fund-raiser' like a sore butt." I pray this effort not only contributes to the ending of poverty, but also overflows with thanksgivings to God (2 Cor. 9:12). |
