I am delighted by the idea and challenge of a cross-country tour, and have been since the last tour in 2005. I think it is a wonderful way to create community and participate in a project so much greater than myself. There is something to be said for a church community that is willing to celebrate together across a continent, as well as raise money for a worthy cause. I believe that such a trip bespeaks the presence of God.
