Ending the cycle of poverty.

Sea to Sea Partners

The Sea to Sea 2008 Bike Tour is a not-for-profit project of the Christian Reformed Church in North America. As a registered charity in both the United States and Canada, the CRCNA will issue tax receipts to donors for financial gifts given in support of the tour or any of its registered cyclists.

Funds raised through the tour will support projects and programs aimed at alleviating poverty locally and globally. Sea to Sea is working with three agencies to address the cycle of poverty:

Each agency will receive 25 percent of tour proceeds. The remaining 25 percent will be available through the CRC Foundation as grants to churches and para-church ministries working to help the poor. The process for applying for these grants will be posted here prior to the start of the tour.

Sea to Sea partners with RCA Global Mission

Through its partnership with RCA Global Mission, Sea to Sea extends its reach to the members and congregations of the Reformed Church in America. Because the RCA has its own agencies and infrastructure for poverty reduction, funds raised by  cyclists from the RCA only will be split, with 50 percent going to the Sea to Sea partners listed above and the remaining 50 percent going to RCA Global Mission and its poverty-alleviation programs.
