Does your church have a heart for those living in poverty around the world, but need to put those passions into action?
Then the Global Poverty Calendar is for you. One focus of the Office of Social Justice this year is the Global Poverty Act, an important piece of legislation which would not only provide more and better funding of anti-poverty initiatives around the world, it would also put into effect the U.S.'s verbal commitment to the Millennium Development Goals.
If you're passionate about Christians helping to alleviate hunger and poverty, check out the sidebar for month-by-month instructions for engaging your congregation in learning and acting on global poverty. You can use them in this order or change them up as you please -- the only thing we ask is that you let us know how it's going!
