The Loan Fund offers fixed-rate certificates with terms of one to five years. The minimum investment is $1,000. Interest is paid quarterly and can be compounded, paid by check, or deposited directly to your bank account. For certificates of $50,000 or more interest can be paid monthly.

Flex Investment Certificate

The Flex Investment certificate offers flexibility for investments and redemptions. An initial investment of $5,000 is required and up to two redemptions may be made per month without service charges. Interest rates are variable, based on market interest rates and the return the Loan Fund earns on its investments. The rates are tiered based on the balance in the investor's account. Interest is paid and compounded quarterly. Statements are mailed at the end of every month.

Flex Building Fund Certificate

The Flex Building Fund Certificate is available only to Christian Reformed churches and is a convenient way to invest building fund cash until it is needed. A Flex Building Fund Certificate requires an initial investment of $5,000 and up to two redemptions for capital expenses or major repairs related to the church's buildings may be made per month without service charges. The interest rate, equal to the rate paid on a 12 month Investment Certificate, is variable and could change several times each month. Interest is paid and compounded quarterly. A statement is mailed at the end of every month.

As of May 1, 2008, the APY* is 3.10%.
