From time to time, the Christian Reformed Church undertakes special projects or events that help congregations to celebrate and/or grow as they are led by God’s Spirit. Below are a collection of links to ongoing or recent special happenings in the life of the CRC.

Special Events

Sesquicentennial Celebration
In 2007, the Christian Reformed Church in North America will celebrate its 150th anniversary.

Sea to Sea 2008 Bike Tour
The Christian Reformed Church is gearing up to stage the largest cross-continental bicycle tour ever--hundreds of cyclists crossing the U.S. and Canada in the summer of 2008 with a quest to end the cycle of poverty at home and abroad.

Assembly of World-Wide Partners
This gathering brings together CRC leaders from around the world June 7-9, 2007,  for learning and discerning where God is leading the church in mission together.

Special Projects

Deep Roots, New Branches
This denominational initiative focuses on building excitement for planting new churches and increasing growth in the CRC and in God’s Kingdom.

Sustaining Pastoral Excellence
This initiative, funded in large part by a Lilly Foundation grant, aims to strengthen and sustain pastors in ministry through mentoring, peer learning, and continuing education.
