Understanding Today’s Preschool Child

A Kid Culture Quiz—This link will take you to a free training manual for a workshop offered by Faith Alive called Welcome to My World. If you don’t have time to share the whole workshop, just use the first portion as a Bite-Size devotional for a leaders meeting. Look for the GAG Test under the first step (called Hello—What’s Up?) found on page 2. Use the instructions for presenting this test to your leaders. Make a copy of Handout 1 and 2 from pages 9-13 for each of your leaders so that they can take the test themselves and discuss the results together.

The Way Kids Learn—This link will take you to the workshop’s page of the Grow Website. You can use step two of the workshop, Help, My Kids Are Having Too Much Fun! for a 20-minute equipping activity that will leave your leaders laughing. Use the directions on pages 3 and 4, along with the Handouts and PowerPoint slides to help your leaders understand the importance of offering many different learning activities to appeal to multiple intelligences.
