United States
![]() CRWRC has been working in the United States since 1962. Today, CRWRC's purpose in the United States is to engage Christians, churches and Christian community organizations in wholistic, long-term, and structural responses to poverty. Our goal is that people – regardless of economic status – will work together to transform their communities. CRWRC’s USA ministry is supported by a team of ten Church and Community Consultants (CCC’s). Each CCC develops leaders in their geographic regions. These leaders are staff or volunteers in churches or Christian community development organizations. They lead citizens (including church members) in their neighborhoods in the work of community transformation. Click here to see the organizational chart. Click here to see a map of CCC regions. CRWRC also conducts a National Direct AmeriCorps program. Twenty-four volunteers are introducing Asset Based Community Development to their organizations and neighborhoods. Via this program CRWRC is building a new cadre of leaders with Community Development experience. If your church/organization would like to learn more about how to transform your community, contact a Church and Community Consultant for your state or order Communities First , a curriculum recently produced by the Church and Community Consultants. You can find a host of resources, tools, video clips, and stories from CRWRC-USA and our partners by clicking on the Communities First Association logo below.
