Denominational Office

The executive director provides leadership for the ministries of the Christian Reformed Church. In addition, he provides support for the functioning of synod, ecumenical relationships, church order and other polity issues.

The Denominational Office oversees the work of denominational agencies and provides funds for synodical expenses and offices, the Board of Trustees and general administration. It also serves the church by initiating, designing and implementing ministry programs mandated by synod.

Abuse Prevention provides resources, policies, and training to prevent abuse and to respond effectively when abuse occurs;

Chaplaincy Services promotes and supports Christian ministry in specialized settings ranging from hospitals and prisons to the military;

Disability Concerns promotes full participation for all church members by eliminating barriers for persons with disabilities;

The Office of Social Justice and Hunger Action raises awareness and promotes action on issues of social justice and world hunger;

Pastor-Church Relations works to prevent and heal conflicts in churches and classes and helps churches in looking for new pastors;

Sustaining Pastoral Excellence is a program to support and strengthen pastors so they can help build vital congregations.

Race Relations designs and implements programs to eliminate racism and bring about racial reconciliation.

The Christian Reformed Church exists as one church in two nations. Canadian Ministries are activities that arise out of Canada’s unique experience and history.

The Loan Fund serves Christian Reformed churches in the United States by offering loans to churches at lower interest rates and offering investors higher rates of return.
