My Response

God’s call to the Christian Reformed Church to plant new churches that reach North Americans for Christ is a big task. It will require the dedication and sacrifice of our entire denomination. Each person has a part.

Here are some suggestions for how you might respond:

  1. Pray. This the first step. If you would like to receive regular prayer updates, join the Home Missions' Prayer Warriors team. It is a great opportunity to be connected with our ministries in our monthly email prayer chain. Go to www.crhm.org and click on Prayer Warriors.
  2. Ask. Talk with your pastor or elder. Let others in your church know that you want to do your part.
  3. Commit. Is God calling you to be a church planter, to join a church planting team, to be a prayer warrior, to provide financial support, to offer encouragement?

If you are a church leader, consider these “next steps”:

  • Pray. Make your church’s role a prayer priority. Form a prayer team. Adopt a new church planter for intercessory prayer. Contact Jack Stulp at stulpj@crcna.org or call 800-266-2175 ext. 756.
  • Contact your missions committee or church council. Challenge them to consider planting a new church in your community or sponsoring a church planter in a neighboring area.
  • Talk to your Home Missions regional representative. Tell them of your church’s interest, request consultation or training, or just ask for details on how to become more involved. Contact 800-266-2175 for the name of the representative in your area.
