Youth Leaders Wanted! Youth to Youth Program 2009
If you are interested in learning how to love mercy by learning to build relationships, act justly by serving, walk humbly through fellowship, then you may be interested in applying for CRWRC's Youth to Youth Program. With an intentional focus on both learning and serving in God’s creation, you will come away with a newfound depth of comprehension of our broader world and how to effectively respond to God's call! WHAT IS Y2Y?In the summer of 2009, a group of 16 to 19 year olds will gather together to learn and serve cross-culturally in an undisclosed location in Africa. The program consists of eight weeks in the summer, with 12 months beforehand of distance learning and training to develop basic language skills, cultural understanding, and biblical studies around the principles of poverty and development. The group will be made up of four to six North Americans along with four to six Ugandans. These two groups will go through the distance learning and training separately, meeting for a week-long orientation together before their six weeks in the designated field. The eighth week will be for debriefing and reflection of individual and group Youth to Youth experiences. FAQSAge Range Where can I get a hold of a brochure or application?
