What's Next for Volunteers?
You’ve been to the field, volunteering your time and energy helping people through the ministries of CRWRC. Now what? How do you talk about all that you’ve seen and done in a way that engages those around you to participate and get charged up to make a difference?

Stay Connected

- Subscribe to CRWRC’s eNews and other eCommunications to get updates on upcoming CRWRC events and opportunities.
Speak
- Make a 3-5 minute presentation at your church or workplace. Download a speaking tip sheet.
- Request a speaker from CRWRC to come to your church or workplace. Contact Iona Buisman in Canada, and Kellie Scholma in the US.
Show

- Show a PowerPoint presentation at your church or workplace. Share about CRWRC, about World Hunger, or about HIV and AIDS.
- Show a video as part of worship or a special event. Choose from
~ Stories from Kenya about HIV and AIDS Work (3- or 10-minutes)
~ Bringing Hope to Tornado Valley about disaster response (3.5 minutes)
~ The Hope of the Quechua about development work in Ecuador (26 minutes)
Host
Consider...
- Organizing a candlelight vigil
- Hosting a fundraising dinner at your church or even in your home.
Advocate

- Visit the CRCNA Office of Social Justice
- Take action on key government issues. In the US, contact Kate Kooyman; in Canada, contact Karen Bokma.
- Connect with others passionate about doing justice at the Justice Seekers website.
Recruit
Talk to people about your volunteer experience.

Engage

Engage the children and youth in your lives. Point youth leaders and children’s ministry coordinators to these resources:
- Youth can help raise awareness about AIDS, send light writing postcards, and host light writing events through iembraceaids.com.
- Youth groups can take spring break or summer volunteer trips through CRWRC’s Disaster Response Services.
- Children learn about helping others around the world through CRWRC Giving Projects.
