The vision for CRWRC's Joseph Fund came from the story of Joseph in Genesis 41. While Joseph was living in Egypt, he prophesied the coming of seven years of prosperity followed by seven years of famine. To prepare, the people of Egypt invested the crops they grew during the prosperous years by storing them in warehouses. The payoff result was extraordinary. Food stored up for seven years saved thousands of lives during the seven lean years.
The CRWRC Joseph Fund is also a seven-year plan. It maximizes the gifts of CRWRC donors by investing them wisely and accumulating interest that is channeled into CRWRC programs over a period of seven years.
Your investment to the Joseph Fund can be gifts from wills and trusts, gifts of stock and real estate, gifts of life insurance, charitable gift annuities, or special gifts of cash. You can direct your gift to benefit particular programs or donate it to CRWRC as a whole. The choice is up to you.
Ten percent of your gift will be used for CRWRC ministries in the year that you give it. The remaining 90% will be invested by a team of experts. Over the next seven years, CRWRC will use the interest and a portion of your gift principal to continue its programs.
