Ethiopia
The impact of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia has been devastating.  2.2 million adults and 200,000 children are living with the virus more than in any other country except South Africa and India.  CRWRC is responding to this crisis with relief assistance.  Ethiopia, however, is not part of a CRWRC Ministry Team and there are no CRWRC staff located in this country.

Relief Projects

The impact of HIV/AIDS in Ethiopia has been devastating.  2.2 million adults and 200,000 children are living with the virus more than in any other country except South Africa and India.

CRWRC is working in collaboration with a Christian organization called Food for the Hungry International/Ethiopia (FHI/E) and their partners to provide support for orphans and vulnerable children who have lost one or both parents and are suffering both socially and physically.  This CRWRC/CFGB program will provide tutoring and school support, training and HIV/AIDS awareness and daily food for these orphans and vulnerable children and their support families.

2500 children will be assisted in the South Gondor region and 800 in the Zeway region of Ethiopia.
