The Hope of Quechua
It's easy to understand the work of many nonprofit organizations:  if there's a need for water in a community, the charity digs a well. But the complexities of community development - helping men and women achieve the change they want to see in their own communities - is a bit more difficult to grasp.

Hope of the Quechua examines this tapestry of change in the daily life of Illagua Chico, Ecuador. It tells the story of Illagua Chico from the perspective of Esteban and Maria Petrona, a young couple still in their early twenties who have become local leaders, creating a long-term vision of community improvement for the good of all.  This DVD is an excellent tool to understand community development through its story. Individuals and churches can borrow a copy from CRWRC; click here to order.

Partnering to Build And Measure Organizational Capacity - A 190-page book printed in 1997 that explores best practices in organizational capacity building among the national development organizations that work in partnership with CRWRC.
